With hindsight

I came back from my latest ship adventure 10 days ago, and this trip was wildly different from all of the others before. Mainly, obviously, due to its itinerary: I boarded in Vancouver, Canada, and disembarked in Colon, Panama.

But also because the ship internet was so bad that it was impossible to access WordPress to write a post or upload pictures. It wasn’t just ‚virtually impossible‘, it was quite literally not possible to even open the application. This had always been different in the past, and it had a pretty big impact not just on what I did with my downtime each day, but also on my work. For work, we found solutions and muddled through, but as for sharing my adventures: Now, that had to wait until I got home, just like in the old days.
